Keep The Domestic Cleaning In Mind As You Go About Your Day

The housework, as far as popular opinion goes, is extremely boring. Few take a huge amount of pleasure in the daily upkeep of their home, as it is repetitive and pretty boring. Whilst the rewards can be worth it, the clean house that you have worked so hard to achieve will quickly become messy again, and thus the cycle continues, making it all extremely dull! For this reason, many people don’t think too much about cleaning, and prefer to ignore it for a while, until it feels like they can’t really do so any more, given how dirty the place has become! If you are one of these people, then it may well be worth keeping the cleaning as part of your general awareness of the house in a day to day sense, so that the cleaning is not so much a rare but horrendous undertaking, but a continual process that does not take much out of the day at all...

For this to work, you need to be thinking about what you can be doing to contribute to the cleanliness of the place at all time. There is little good in starting out in this way, and eventually getting bored of it and distracting yourself with TV that you aren’t really even enjoying, and other similar distractions! How many time have you refreshed an internet page, whether it interests you or not, simply because you want to avoid doing anything boring but useful? Reclaiming these ‘dead spots’ in your day will mean that you don’t necessarily notice that you are cleaning more often, and for the scheme to work you do have to clean more often. Cleaning regularly means that the build up of dirt and dust in the home will not be as marked, and you can reduce the time it takes to get rid of it in this way. If you can make each job a two minute series of wiping down, or ten minutes of pushing a hoover about, then the impact that the cleaning jobs have on your daily life will be dramatically reduced. Of course, the issue is not that you are cleaning more regularly, so how do you fit it all in?

The key is in those dead spots in the day that were mentioned above. If you can knock out ten minutes of cleaning stuff before you leave for work, and twenty minutes when you get back, then you will likely be able to get everything looking great without letting it intrude too much on your life. Whether this means getting up half an hour earlier in the morning, or being a bit more efficient with your time it doesn’t really matter, as long as you can make it work for you! Fitting these little jobs in throughout your week will basically mean that you are not at risk of letting the cleaning overwhelm you, simply because you have put it off for so long! We’ve all been there; You have a party or something at your flat, and the next day you feel a little too tired to get it cleaned, and then the week starts, and you have to sort of live around the mess, and it builds and becomes more and more of an issue so you feel you don’t have time to do it! Avoid this by tackling things straight away, and you should be absolutely fine.
